I'm not sure where it came from, but it amused me once I had written it. Enjoy

[12-29 AM]
The name game.

Max ran down the street, his shoes slapping wetly against the pavement. Man, why did I let Jude talk me into sleeping in? I knew I’d be late. Finally reaching his destination, he paused a minute to catch his breath before entering the train station. Racing over to the turnstile, he sighed as he realized there was only one person in front of him. As she exited it, he slid in and dug around in his pocket for his wallet. Glancing up, he checked the price for his ticket and began pulling out bills.
“Man, I don’t want to break a 10 just for a dollar…” He thought aloud. Suddenly, a shiny coin was dropped onto the counter in front of him. He felt a tap on his shoulder and turned his head to see the girl who had been in line before him. She smiled and for a moment, all he could see were her eyes. He knew the light was playing tricks on him because they looked like a kaleidoscope. Suddenly, he remembered where he was as a ticket was pushed across the counter towards him and the older lady behind him jabbed him none too gently with her cane, and said,
“Move it sonny, some of us have places to go.” Grabbing his ticket, he turned to find the girl gone. Spotting the train, not to mention its quickly closing doors, he hurried away. Taking the stairs three at a time, he made it just in time and realized the girl is holding the door open for him. Gratefully, he stepped inside and fell into a nearby seat.
“Thanks, I’m Max.” he held out a hand to her.
“Lucy.” She shook his hand and sat across from him.
“How was your day?” Jude asked later.
“Weird…” he said as he brought plates and silverware to the table.
“Why’s that?”
“I met a girl with kaleidoscope eyes on a train in a station.” And he smiled at the memory.
“And let me guess, her name was Lucy?” Jude asked dryly.
“Actually, yeah, it was.” Jude just rolled his eyes. Suddenly, the phone rang.
“Hello?”
“Max?” a female voice asked uncertainly.
“No, this is Jude.”
“Oh, hey, Jude. Max told me about you. Is he there? Tell him it’s Lucy.” Jude paused and slowly handed the phone over.
“Hello? Lucy! Hey!” Jude stopped listening after that.

Your transition was a little sudden. I was confused for a little. Also, how can the girl hold the train door open. no one can. If you are in the middle of the door it'll close and you'll not make it alive. She can't quite do that.
